Claire's Getting Ready to Travel Again

Just You’s Travel Ambassador, Claire Sweeney, known for her stage and TV appearances, can’t wait to get travelling once again, but where is she planning on going?

"I am so excited that we can all once again pack our suitcases, head to the airport and off on an amazing and much needed solo adventure. I have been spending endless hours dreaming of my next holiday and hopefully I won’t be waiting much longer.

I always have such an amazing time on my Just You holidays, sharing the love of a destination with my fellow travellers, it is certainly what makes the whole trip such a worthwhile experience.

Croatia is a country that I would love to explore with Just You, I have heard such wonderful things about it, from its cities surrounded with history to its magnificent islands all with amazing scenery. One place I would love to explore is the Krka National Park, famed for its impressive waterfalls and huge array of wildlife.

Of course, no trip to Croatia is complete without a guided tour of Dubrovnik, well known as a filming location in such shows as Game of Thrones and Star Wars. When in Dubrovnik, I have been told that you must take the cable-car ride to the top of Srd Hill for fantastic views over this wonderful city.

Just You offers a great 8-day Croatia holiday where you have a cabin of your own on an exclusively chartered ship, the four-star MV Paradis, as someone who loves spending time on cruise ships, this tour sounds perfect for me. The chance to step ashore on some of Croatia’s most beautiful islands would be a real highlight for me, including Solta, famed for its wine and olive oil.

For that holiday slightly further afield, I can’t wait to get back to the USA. The tour that I really want join is Just You’s America’s Music Heritage, for obvious reasons as like me, music is at the heart of this fantastic tour. Starting off in Atlanta the tour is quickly on its way to Nashville, the capital of Country Music, before arriving in Memphis, the birthplace of Elvis Presley and a visit to his home, the magnificent Graceland. With the tour ending in New Orleans, it will have me singing every step of the way, and that’s for sure.

People ask me why I choose to travel on a solo traveller’s guided holiday? Well, that is easy to answer, it is all about the shared experience. When I travelled to India and Tuscany with Just You, I met so many great people and it was wonderful to share what we learned from the Holiday Director and local guides, and talk about the highlights of the day. We also shared lots of laughs.

The other thing about a singles guided holiday is that everything is taken care of, which as we all start travelling again is really reassuring as you know you are in really good hands and can just relax and enjoy the whole adventure."
