3. Northumberland - Walking the Coast & Coquetdale

An underrated but stunning area of the country this fabulous UK walking break allows you to discover Northumberland's dramatic coastline on foot, walk the causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and enjoy wild, open views of the national park.

After a stay in Alnwick, this walk starts in the picturesque Ingram Valley in the Northumberland National Park where you will stroll up 400m peaks to get the best views of the park. Then you'll hit the stunning coastline to visit the famous holy island of Landisfarne, one of the important centres of early Christianity.

4. Walking in Snowdonia

After a stay in LLanberis, you'll start this scenic walk along the North Wales Path, between Conwy, the home of UNESCO-listed Conwy Castle and St Gwynans. 

Next you'll take a more wild walk up to Lyn Idwal with the backdrop of the dramatic and well-known 'Devil's Kitchen'. This area was also used a great deal by the legendary and successful 1951 Everest expedition team featuring Sir Edmund Hillary!

The final day of walking features the chocolate box village of Beddgelert along with a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway to take in all the views in historic style.

5. Walking in the Peak District

Best for UK hillwalking holidays...

The Peak District National Park is one of Britain's most iconic landscapes, which you'll discover as you hike amongst hills, moors, mountains and rivers on wonderfully scenic walks.

After a stay in Buxton you'll start the walk by rambling along the Limestome Way to the beautiful village of Castleton. Here you'll head up the slopes of Mam Tor and walk the Castleton Ridge to take in the stunning views of the Hope Valley.

You'll then head to Baslow Edge on day 3 before heading down into the Derwent Valley for a stop at the majestic Chatsworth House, home of many different species of deer as well as some enchanting woodland. 

On the final day of walking, you'll cross some beautiful moorland to the sound of wild birds and head up Kinder Scout - The park's highest peak. Here you will follow in the footsteps of the Mass Tresspass when in 1932 ramblers protested their rights to walk in the countryside.
