Day 2 Christmas Eve, Chester
We'll get out and about today on a walking tour of Chester in the company of a Local Guide. Founded by the Romans more than 2,000 years ago, its fascinating history is reflected in its well-preserved city walls, which are the oldest, longest and most complete in England. We'll also see the city's impressive Roman amphitheatre and admire many medieval half-timbered houses. Our stroll concludes at Chester Cathedral, which stands on the site of a 7th century Saxon church.
Back at the hotel we'll gather for dinner.

Today after breakfast, we will cross over the border into Wales where we will begin our visit with a trip to Llandudno, the quaint British seaside town on the North Wales coast. Here, if you are feeling brave, why not take part in the annual Boxing Day dip which entices people from all over the country to run into the sea, often in fancy dress! Later, enjoy afternoon tea including a glass of champagne or a cocktail on the banks of the River Conwy.
Note - If you plan to join the Boxing Day dip, changing facilities are outdoors with the use of gazebos that will be placed on the promenade where dippers can change. Facilities are not secure and any valuables are left at your own risk. We ask you to come prepared for the weather conditions. This is a free event and while precautions are taken to make sure all taking part enjoy the event, we ask dippers to be prepared and come with warm clothing and towels.
We return to the hotel for a farewell dinner and glass of wine.
