Itinerary

Day 1 Stratford-upon-Avon

Head to your hotel in the medieval market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, where there will be a welcome cream tea on arrival. Check in and get to know your surroundings before meeting your fellow travellers for dinner at the hotel. Meals included: D

Day 2 Christmas Eve, Stratford-upon-Avon

After breakfast today, we join a local guide for a walk into town to learn about the history of William Shakespeare’s life and works. Stratford-upon-Avon is steeped in the history of Shakespeare, many locations in the town, related to his and his family's life, are preserved as Britain's national heritage and visited by millions of people every year in a bid to celebrate his life and work. See Shakespeare's New Place, where he lived towards the end of his life; upon his death, New Place became the home of his daughter, Susanna Hall. Enjoy the beautiful architecture of the Guild Chapel and Guildhall, where Shakespeare is said to have attended school. Pass Hall's Croft, the original home of his daughter, on your way to Holy Trinity Church; the final resting place of William Shakespeare and his wife Anne Hathaway. Finally, enjoy the scenery as you walk along the River Avon.
Tea, Coffee and Mince pies will be available on your arrival back at the hotel and a three-course dinner served this evening. Meals included: B,D

Day 3 Christmas Day, Stratford-upon-Avon

Merry Christmas! Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and morning at leisure before joining your travelling companions for a glass of fizz followed by a traditional three-course Christmas lunch. Spend the afternoon as you wish, there will be tea, coffee and Christmas cake served in the bar and a casual dinner this evening. Meals included: B,L,D

Day 4 Boxing Day, Warwick Castle

Enjoy a Boxing Day visit to one of the most iconic castle in the UK, Warwick Castle. Today you will have the chance to explore the castle, learn about it’s long and tumultuous history including great battles and ancient myths, and also enjoy the extensive grounds. We return to the hotel for a farewell dinner. Meals included: B,D

Day 5 Stratford-upon-Avon

A last leisurely breakfast before departing, and making your way home. Meals included: B

Deposit information

When you book a holiday, you will be asked to pay a deposit, this will be made clear at the time of booking. In most cases we will charge the following deposit amount;

  • UK Holidays - £150 per person
  • European Holidays - £200 Per person
  • Worldwide Holidays - £250 or 10% whichever is the greater

On some holidays we may charge a slightly higher deposit, to cover any costs we have to pay immediately to secure your booking with our suppliers. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.

Our cancellation policy

If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

  • More than 75 days before departure - Loss of deposit only
  • 43 - 74 days - 50% of tour price
  • 29 - 42 days - 75% of tour price
  • 15 - 28 days - 90% of tour price
  • Day of Departure - 14 days - 100% of tour price
