After breakfast, we’ll spend the morning exploring the main sights of Edinburgh in the company of an experienced local guide. Perched on a volcanic rock, Edinburgh Castle is one of the most exciting historic sites in Western Europe. Our guide will share with you many exciting tales of its time as a military fortress, royal residence and prison of war. We'll then take a walk along the Royal Mile, discovering its charm. Running through the heart of Edinburgh historic city center, the Mile is flanked by impressive, towering buildings between which cobbled closes and narrow stairways lead off to hidden courtyards, museums bars and more that are waiting to be explored. The rest of the day is free to explore at leisure.
Meals included: BToday we’ll travel by public transport to Leith to step aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, once the floating royal residence of Her Majesty the Queen. This magnificent ship hosted an array of state visits and official receptions and you’ll not only follow in the footsteps of members of the royal family, but renowned world leaders such as Nelson Mandela and Winston Churchill. On this visit, explore the State Dining Room, the Bridge and the Sun Lounge. The afternoon is free for you to explore Edinburgh on your own. End your short break with a farewell dinner in a local restaurant.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.
If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.
